Primary Responsibilities:
The Ophthalmic Assistant performs a variety of duties involving basic vision testing
Assists physician/optometrist in the examination and treatment of patients by performing routine vision tests
Assists the physician/optometrist with routine clinical/diagnostic procedures and other related duties

Required Qualification:
High school diploma or equivalentPreferred Qualifications:
CPR/BLS certification
Completion of JCAHPO, written exam for certification for COA and maintain active status
Experience working in sterile field set up and assisting with minor surgical procedures
Knowledge of various software applications such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.
General computer skills or knowledge
Demonstrated excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
Proven ability to show proficiency within 9 months through the competency evaluative process
