The Northrop Grumman Rolling Meadows Campus is looking for an experienced, highly motivated Operations Program Manager to join our team.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Manage an Operations Programs team, providing direction to Operations Programs personnel to ensure optimal execution of production programs. This highly motivated individual will be responsible for providing objective-oriented direction to OPMs utilizing management guidelines and general policies.
The Operations Program Manager will be the primary Manufacturing Operations interface with the Program Office, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, and Mission Assurance on all aspects of manufacturing programs.Responsible for managing proposals, production planning, and execution of manufacturing programs, while monitoring and addressing all cost, schedule, performance, and quality issues.Lead multifunctional teams, including Operations functional support organizations, to ensure all program and manufacturing goals and objectives are met.Represents the organization as a prime contact on contracts or programs. Interact with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between organizations.Oversee the generation of proposals, including basis of estimates, resource codes, estimate rational, bid codes, overhead, and labor rates.Responsible for the overall performance of the Operations team's activities to ensure compliance with company objectives and obligations.Develop, identify, and maintain the appropriate personnel to ensure the future support of company objectives.Government Property (GFE, CFE, etc.) tracking and managementBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 9 years related experience; MS + 7 years of experience; PhD + 4 years of experience.Demonstrated success in leading teams or projects.Basic knowledge of SAP and the MRP moduleMust be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)Must possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with all levels of management and individual contributors.US citizen and ability to obtain a DOD Secret Security Clearance.Preferred Qualifications:Demonstrated success in performing in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Minimum 9 years of manufacturing programs management experienceIn-depth knowledge of Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP), production planning, and material managementUnderstanding of Earned Value (EVM) reporting and analysis.Experience with all aspects of proposal generationMANUMS
Salary Range: $116,600 - $175,000
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
