[CEHMM, a 501(c)3 non-profit conservation and environmental services organization, is seeking a full-time Operations Manager to implement management practices pertaining to habitat, production, distribution, and natural balance to ensure sound management and conservation of wildlife species. Perform duties in support of candidate conservation programs, including range management and captive propagation.
[The Operations Manager position is a permanent full-time position located in Carlsbad, NM, reporting to the Deputy Director. The Operations Manager shall oversee logistical operations and be responsible for evaluating and developing outreach strategies, planning, and coordinating outreach efforts for the company and to facilitate strategic relationships and partnerships with key industry players, agencies, and vendors. CEHMM has a diverse range of projects including, but not limited to conservation, threatened, and endangered species, range management, reclamation/environmental restoration, environmental compliance, GIS mapping, consulting in oil and gas operations; dependent on industry focus and company needs. Develop, implement, and manage operational procedures, processes, policies, and schedules.Work in collaboration with Project Managers to ensure successful program operations.Oversee and manage Project Management staff.Provide guidance and training as needed.Prepare and organize work schedules and procedures.Prepare and submit grant applications, direct subsequent research, and prepare, in coordination with others, peer-reviewed publications.Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.Develop and update operations procedure manuals.Report daily work and progress to Deputy Director.Maintain good working relationships with those contacted in the course of work including supervisors, co-workers, and the public.Perform record keeping as required.Adhere to correct procedures and health and safety guidelines.Various other projects and duties as assigned.[The salary range for this position is $68,000 - $133,000 per year depending on education and experience.
