The Nurse applies a hybrid approach of INR services which includes face-to-face customer visits, telephonic visits and INR home monitoring. They manage long term customers in addition to to short term pre-operative customers. They also perform INR testing for customers prescribed warfarin and adjusts medication per NMH policies and procedures. The INR Nurse prioritizes workloads and manages the Clinic schedule. Finally the INR Nurse documents accurately and maintains records for clinical practice. Requirements Education * Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. * Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred. Experience * 1-2 years nursing experience in a hospital or clinic setting is required. * Patient education, cardiology, ICU, and/or general triage experience is preferred. * Previous INR experience is preferred. * Ability to provide nursing assessment via the INR service hybrid model of face-to-face visits, telephonic visits, or evaluation of home monitoring. * Applies clinical judgement to achieve optimal INR care. * Prioritizes workload in an efficient manner. * Follows through on all steps when completing tasks. * Compassionate and understanding of customer needs. * Maintains customer confidentiality.
