Parametric is part of Morgan Stanley Investment Management, the asset management division of Morgan Stanley. This role is part of Parametric's hybrid working model, which includes working in the office 2-3 days a week and choosing to work remotely or in the office the remaining days of the week.
ABOUT THE TEAM
Client Relations Group (CRG) is a department within Parametric's Operations division. CRG?s mission is to seamlessly manage all operational aspects of client instructions: from opening an account to all the subsequent account processing.
The department works closely with all areas within Parametric to deliver client service excellence, notably Sales, Trading, Portfolio Managers, Technology, and other Operations teams. The department is approximately 120 staff members working in 3 main groups called Client Operations, Client Service, and Contracts.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The primary responsibility of the Mumbai Manager, Client Relations Group (CRG) is to lead and supervise the local Client Service and Client Operations staff, monitoring performance and coaching, and developing tactical & strategic solutions to ensure the long-term success of the department.
The local CRG team will consist of approximately 6 client operations and client service staff, with the central goal to achieve operational excellence as part of the broader CRG department based in the USA. The Manager will also work closely with other Operations teams across the organization on several key operational initiatives. Additionally, this position will work closely with the broader CRG management team on all aspects of operational performance.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead an effective day to day business operating environment capable of supporting a growing and complex business model.
Act as a point of escalation for Mumbai CRG team members on all related processes
Develop a full working knowledge of the firm's structure, key personnel and organizational policies and procedures, in addition to a functional knowledge of a professional services environment.
Coordinate error resolutions with the Operations, Portfolio Management and Trading teams.
Develop and implement necessary workflow/process enhancements to drive more leverage and efficiency within the business model.
Review existing level of technology support for the team; determine and coordinate implementation of improvements.
Ensure all compliance controls are in place and rigorously enforced. Work closely with the broader CRG management team to better ensure adherence to all regulations.
Provide coaching and mentoring to team members.
Facilitate workload distribution.
Partner with other departments to build a working relationship and improve business model.
Hire, supervise and evaluate the performance of the team
QUALIFICATIONS
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Skill Set: Required Experience: 9+ years / 3-5 years supervisory experience / financial services industry
Primary Skills
Bachelor's (4-year) degree with concentration in finance, accounting, or similar field preferred
9+ years of related Operations experience in a financial services organization with 3-5 years of managing teams of at least five or more employees.
Proficient with MS Office and the ability to learn additional software programs.
Strong organizational skills.
Ability to multi-task.
Strong Experience in strategic planning and execution.
Strong communicator with exemplary interpersonal, management, writing, and editing skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Pragmatic and well-grounded while also exhibiting creativity and resourcefulness.
