Essential Job Functions
Travel extensively throughout all market locations to deliver sales training to new Home Energy Consultants. Schedule sales training events, coordinate with management and participants; obtain and distribute required instructional materials and communicate schedules and details. Ensure that sales teams are proficient in using all required systems and finance portals to streamline the sales process. This includes staying informed about industry developments and changes in solar technology, regulations, and financing options. Possess in-depth knowledge of solar technology, products, and trends. Implement, and maintain a comprehensive sales training program that covers all aspects of the sales process, including prospecting, pitching, objection handling, and closing. Develop teaching aids such as informative videos or "podcasts", training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials, and reference works. Ensure a healthy library of video content is housed, organized and available for self learning for Solar sales team members Work closely with local managers and develop strong relationships with them to understand specific local and regional challenges and tailor training programs accordingly. This could include: work situations requiring training, better understanding changes in policies, procedures or regulations, or new business initiatives and technologies. Work with Sales Leadership to identify individual improvement areas and then deliver appropriate training specific to General Sales Managers, Territory Sales Managers, and Home Energy Consultants in their sales skills, based on need. Proactively identify, develop, and help lead improvements overall to ensure effective and efficient sales training processes.
Competencies:
Willing and able to travel 75-85% of the time. Must be comfortable with public speaking and be able to clearly communicate with people of varying levels of education Professional appearance & demeanor Outstanding communication and customer service skills Strong attention to detail Proficiency in time and relationship management skills Must have the ability to plan, organize and prioritize work effectively and efficiently
Experience and Education:
Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and sales experience Experience developing and delivering training for adult learners Experience with learning management systems (LMS), preferred Competent in MS Office and presentation software like PowerPoint.
