Job Description
Meta Reality Labs (RL) Sensors Team is helping build novel products in Augmented and Virtual Reality. Meta AR/VR research and development in Sensors and Sensing Systems is driving the state-of-the-art forward through relentless innovation. Our team explores, develops, and delivers new cutting-edge technologies that serve as the foundation of current and future AR/VR products at Meta. We are looking for candidates with expertise in multiphysics simulation to help with the development of novel hardware devices within the RL Sensors Team, while collaborating with experts across multiple domains.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with other researchers and engineers across both hardware and research teams at Meta to develop multiphysics FEA simulations that help drive product design decisions.
Prepare and set up simulation models, including geometry preparation, meshing, boundary conditions, material properties, and solver selection to accurately represent physical systems.
Conduct parametric studies to understand the effects of different variables on system performance, and optimize designs based on simulation results.
Create comprehensive reports and presentations to communicate simulation results, insights, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ensure the quality and reliability of simulation results through careful verification and validation procedures.
