Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for two Materials and Process (M&P) Engineering Technicians to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in Clearfield, UT.
One position available for each shift (may be eligible for shift premium in addition to base pay):
A shift: Mon-Friday, day shift (9/80 schedule, every other Friday off)
C shift: Mon - Sun, 6am - 6:30PM
Our M&P team works independently but interacts constantly with other engineering groups and customers to achieve expectations. We're empowered to make decisions but can draw upon corporate resources to support us when needed. Each member of the team is tasked with identifying ways to improve efficiency in the team in the pursuit of continuous improvement. We're looking for a fellow self-starter who enjoys assessing and understanding risk to join us.
In this role, you will be a part of an Integrated Product Team supporting production and new design releases. Our team works with cutting edge exotic materials and novel products to innovate within our mission, working across the facility supporting large composite structures. Responsibilities :
Ensure adherence to material specifications and product specifications
Assist in resolving material concerns for production operations
Verify manufacturing limits and ensure specifications are maintained
Provide assistance in structural and chemical testing
Participate in root cause and corrective action investigations
This role can be filled as a level 3 or 4 Engineering Technician based on the qualifications below.
Basic Qualifications:
Engineering Tech 3: High School Diploma or GED and an additional 4 years of additional education and/or relevant experience that includes composites, aerospace, or manufacturing experience
Engineering Tech 4: High School Diploma or GED and an additional 6 years of additional education and/or relevant experience that includes composites, aerospace, or manufacturing experience
Familiar with composite process technologies (i.e., bagging, lamination, bonding, etc.)
Proficiency with MS Office suite
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance and special program access (PAR) prior to the commencement of employment
Preferred Qualifications:
Current, in-scope Secret clearance (or higher)
Able to read and interpret Engineering models and drawings
Familiar with composite material & manufacturing technology of hand lay-up and cure, machining of composite components and assemblies (including bonded and fastened assembly methods)

Salary Range: $54,400 - $90,600
Salary Range 2: $64,700 - $107,800
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
