We are seeking a highly engaged and creative Recruiter to help establish a Military and Veteran recruiting program at APL. You will join a team of outstanding recruiting professionals that strive to attract highly innovative staff who build groundbreaking solutions for critical national challenges.
As the Military and Veteran Recruiting Program Lead, you will...
Lead the Military and Veteran Recruiting Program from design through implementation and ultimately to a sustainable recruiting pipeline.Partner with APL leadership customers to acquire knowledge of their mission areas, staffing requirements, and culture. You will serve as an advisor to managers, senior staff and partners through regular communication, coaching and the presentation of staffing metrics individually and at the team level.Work collaboratively across Talent Services and other partner organizations to ensure the delivery of effective talent strategies.Create a strategic framework to scale military recruiting programs, such as Hiring Our Heroes & DOD SkillBridge.Liaison with Hiring Our Heroes regional coordinators and APL hiring managers, review and circulate cohort candidate resumes, and track participants in the program. Develop relationships with military and government agencies to design and deliver mid-to-long range strategies that establish APL as a military and veteran employer of choice.Research and recommend innovative programs, partnerships, and talent pipelines that can enhance current military and veteran talent attraction strategies across APL.Build candidate pipelines and develop local networks to ensure a constant flow of qualified candidates using a variety of sources, by utilizing social media and network contacts, internet postings, database searches, and community outreach initiatives to create veteran candidate pools.Oversee and drive participation in national military events and recruiting conferences.Leverage data and analytics to inform and adjust strategy, implementation, and partnership delivery against program goals.Qualifications

Possess a Bachelor's degree or equivalent related experience.Have 3+ years of Recruiting experience in a technical environment.Have experience working with Military and Veteran organizations, such as Hiring our Heroes and SkillBridge.Have previous experience with Applicant Tracking Systems, preferably iCIMS, including data mining and reporting.Are able to develop candidate pipelines and in-depth knowledge of sourcing and research skills.Possess the ability to handle multiple and changing priorities and can function effectively in a process-intensive environment.Are willing and able to travel to multiple local and out of town events and conferences.Are able to obtain a Secret security clearance. If selected, you will be subject to a government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information. Have an extensive network with effective relationships within military and veteran organizations.Have experience building recruiting programs focused on military and veteran talent.Are well-versed with military ranks, MOS's, and general military knowledge.Have experience coordinating participation/representation in TAP/ETAP programs.
