As Purchasing Manager, you will be responsible for planning and implementing purchasing activities, ensuring company policies are followed. You will coordinate purchase requests, create purchase orders in Ariba, and reconcile invoice and PO mismatches. Additionally, you will supervise and mentor less experienced staff, exhibiting strong interpersonal and people management skills, and extensive knowledge of purchasing principles and procedures.
WHAT OUR PURCHASING MANAGERS ENJOY MOST
Managing, troubleshooting, and problem-solving any issues that arise in the end-to-end purchasing process, from receiving purchase requests to closing open purchase orders.Supervising, developing, and mentoring direct reports and less experienced staff members.Ensuring staff receive appropriate formal and on-the-job training, and cross-training is provided to support skills growth, career opportunities, and resource load balancing.Building and maintaining trusted relationships with business unit internal customers and Charter's supplier community.Focusing primarily on non-inventory purchases but providing assistance with inventory purchases when needed.Consulting with the business to identify opportunities for process improvement and system solutions.Serving as the integration point to support complex, cross-functional initiatives.Assisting with auditing supplier performance on invoice and shipment discrepancies and working closely with internal departments to resolve issues.Communicating real-time with suppliers regarding performance.Supporting the Sourcing Teams with competitive bid activities.Actively participating in various process improvement and cost optimization activities, such as supplier consolidation, product standardization, item master cleanup, and other purchasing-related activities.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO SPECTRUM
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Knowledge of Microsoft Office applicationsPurchasing or Purchasing-related activities - 7+ yearsWorking with an electronic purchasing tool - 3+ years
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business or Supply Chain Management preferred Supplier negotiation and project management experience - 7+ yearsCable and or telecommunications industry experience - 3+ yearsManagement or leadership experience - 2+ years
Working Conditions
Hybrid Schedule - Three in-office days weekly

The pay for this position has a salary range of $88,200.00 to $156,600.00. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and location. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses.
