Overall Purpose:The Meter Data Analytics Team is responsible for understanding the content of the CC&B and MDM system and driving reporting and analysis based on this information. This position prepares exception reporting via SQL queries and reviews data received into the Meter Data Management System (MDM) from various metering systems and validates for accuracy. Responsibilities include performing simple to medium edits and estimation routines to resolve discrepancies in the data.

Analyze MDM To-Do exceptions generated each day, based on existing documentation, determine the cause and correct the information to allow for timely billing. If the exception is due to a technical issue, work with the Supervisor of Meter Data Analytics to understand and document the issue.

Review and analyze manual readings and enter into MDM if necessary.

Maintain good working relationships with other departments in the meter to cash operations in order to help resolve simple to medium issues related to usage prior to finalizing billing transactions.

Education/Experience:BS in Information Technology, Finance or a related discipline.In lieu of a Bachelors' degree, an equivalent combination of experience/certifications/degrees will be considered.Two (2) years utility/electric industry knowledge and proven SQL query experience or training preferred.
Skills/Abilities:Excellent communication skills required, both verbal and written, to ensure effective and accurate information sharing. Analytical ability to ensure efficient and accurate review of reports, system exceptions, issues and/or errors. Ability to complete concurrent projects to ensure timely, efficient and accurate deadlines are met.
Scope:Responsibilities are generally tactical and basic in nature, however work may vary in type and complexity requiring the incumbent to be flexible to adjust to the given situation. Primary focus is on daily deliverables and outputs, while at the same time developing a knowledge of the broader context in which the work is being performed.
Decision Impact:Independent discretion or decision-making capability is mostly limited.
