JOB REQUIREMENTS: About the Role: Reporting to the Materials Managerthis position will supervise employees in a warehouse environment. Plansand assigns work, enforces policies and procedures, and recommendsimprovements in warehouse processes, material handling equipment,operating procedures, and working conditions. Your Responsibilities:Ensures effective Employee Relations Provides employee coaching anddevelopment Hires and makes employment status recommendations anddecisions in conjunction with other members of management Leads aContinuous Improvement initiative focused on improvement of theWarehouse processes at the assigned plant Creates metrics to measureWarehouse productivity improvement opportunities and uses these metricsto address and eliminate waste Provides training and mentoring toemployees regarding Material Management methods and practices Managesdepartmental performance measures including visual controls, process andproduct audits and provides regular progress reports to manager Performsincident investigations, problem solving reports, maintains properinventory levels, manages department priorities, tracks absenteeism, andensures Kronos is accurate and completed in a timely manner Ensuresoperation of equipment by calling for repairs and evaluating equipmentneeds Initiates and fosters a spirit of cooperation within and betweendepartments Updates and maintains Safe Work Instructions Other duties asassigned Let\'s Talk About Your Qualifications: 1 to 5 years ofsupervisory experience in a manufacturing environment Minimum three (3)years of shipping/receiving/stores experience Knowledge ofshipping/receiving practices, policies, and techniques. Knowledge of ERPoperating systems is required. Demonstrated ability to manage andprioritize multiple projects simultaneously Demonstrated ability to leadpeople and achieve results through others Experience with the followingskills: Kanban, Poke Yoke, cellular manufacturing and 5S ISO experienceis a plus Experience in Lean Manufacturing and Material Flow is a plusProblem analysis and resolution Supervision, including Associateretention, performance management, and corrective action An ability tobalance and achieve positive results in the areas of safety, quality,productivity, cost, and Associate relations Leadership: a demonstratedability to lead people and get results through others Working...
