In Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and
Reconnaissance (C4ISR) Systems, you ll help develop systems that sense, control, exploit and disseminate actionable information to warfighters supporting a variety of missions.
BAE Systems Electronic Systems (ES) sector is looking for candidates to join our Operations Summer Internship Program starting in the summer of 2024. We have open intern positions for talented, up and coming Business/Engineering professionals who want to work at a progressive company where Operations Excellence and Project Management is highly valued. Our mission is We Protect Those Who Protect Us and We Innovate for Those Who Move the World , and as a Material Stockroom Operations Intern in Electronic Systems, you will develop your skills while helping us protect the brave men and women in our armed forces and other communities. Our products must work the first time, every time, because people s lives depend on it. In Operations, it is our responsibility to make sure that whatever we build leaves with Zero Defects.
Roles and Responsibilities may include:
Preparing and verifying assembly kits to meet pre-scheduled release dates using pick list and selecting stock using first in-first out system
Responding to requests for materials needed for engineering or production programs
Performing cycle count audits and physical inventories and auditing inventory records for accuracy on a regular basis by checking actual stock against amounts recorded.
BAE Systems Intern Program offers professional development classes, mentorship, and opportunities to participate in collaborative group projects that are presented to executive leadership. Through these facets of the internship program, our interns complete the program better prepared to enter the work force as a full-time employee. This internship will be located at BAE in Wayne, NJ, and offers a plethora of networking opportunities that connect our young professionals to senior leadership. This is a paid internship and has a flexible work schedule that includes every other Friday off. Housing is not included with the program. We are looking for hardworking, self-starters who have a willingness to learn and make positive change.
This internship is a part of the BAE Systems LEAP Internship and Co-Op Program. LEAP stands for Learn, Engage, Apply, Progress.
Due to the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Preferred Majors include Supply Chain, Business, Project Management, Engineering, and Operations Management majors who are hardworking self-starters that have a willingness to learn and tackle new challenges. All candidates must be enrolled in an accredited program.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience in Microsoft Excel or other related software
Understanding of supply chain and operations principles
Ability to work in a team and project-based environment
Problem solving and critical thinking skills
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $42720 - $57720
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
Temporary employees generally are not eligible for BAE Systems benefits, but can elect to participate in the 401(k) savings plan. Temporary employees working 20 hours per week are eligible for medical benefits, the employee assistance program, and business travel accident insurance.
