DescriptionThe Material 1 position assists in accurately handling inventory according to Standard Operating Procedures. The Materials team works together to receive, store, pick, pack and ship product to clients. At the Materials 1 level team members ensure that all product is verified, stored and picked correctly.
The Materials team wears required PPE: safety glasses, steel toe shoes, gloves, ear plugs and hard hats as needed. The team works safely to ensure that employees do not incur bodily harm. The team uses care and respect to ensure that equipment and/or property is not damaged. The team works together to keep the warehouse area clean.
Materials 1(Picker/Piledown)Perform all duties as described in Standard Operating Procedures and Detailed Job InstructionsMaintain inventory control and inventory accuracy for all parts in assigned areas.Perform warehouse duties as assignedCount units and check product identity per pick and pack listsEnsure that all inventory is stored and distributed properlyProperly store product after receiptPick product for work and sales ordersRestock storage areasAssist with incidental packing, shipping and receiving
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalentAbility to read and interpret Work Orders and Standard Operating ProceduresBasic math skillsAbility to obtain a power industrial equipment permitStrong attention to detailStrong communication skillsExcellent demonstrated attendance and dependabilityAbility to work flexible hours to meet customer demandsAbility to walk for minimum of 8 hoursAbility to frequently move product up to 75 poundsAbility to frequently bend, lift, push, pull, and twist while carrying productPrevious warehouse, shipping, distribution or receiving experience
