The Material Control Lead will transport product in the warehouse and shop using a power industrial truck (PIT). This role will perform independent project tasks, collaborate with customers, and team members and assist with team management. This position in located in Livonia, MI.
*As a Material Control Lead, you will: *
Read, interpret, and follow warehouse process proceduresAssist in loading and unloading materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelvesRead work order or follows verbal instructionsResearch inventory control audit discrepancies and leads process resolution for continuous improvementIdentify, inspect, and track incoming and outgoing parts for quality, quantity, and accuracyAssist in leading and managing team members including providing guidance and trainingDelegate tasks and assignments, monitor progress, and check qualityInteract and communicate with internal and external customers to resolve issuesAssist in leading daily warehouse organization and clean-upCommunicate with shop floor and supplies build floor with material build kitsOperate an industrial truck.To be considered a Material Control Lead, you will need:
High school diploma or equivalentMinimum of 2 years of work experience in Warehousing and Material Control.Power Industrial Truck (PIT) LicenseGood attention to detail and organizational skillsIntermediate computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel) including a proficient level of knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systemAbility to obtain or qualify for an industrial truck licenseAbility to read, count and communicate inventory data both written and verbal, follow directions, learn new skills and technologies and multi-task in a fast-paced work environmentAble to work independently, successfully lead a team and work overtime and weekendsA successful candidate may also have:
