We are looking for someone who can conduct market research and make recommendations on sourcing opportunities for assigned product brands or market sectors for TJX buyers and internal sourcing unit. Coordinate buyer trips to factories or manufacturers. Monitor order from placement with vendor, sample distribution, to final quality inspection and shipping.
Job Responsibilities:
Exhibits strong commitment and motivation to deliver results. Understands and aligns sourcing strategies with buying vision and strategy and responds to a changing market.Demonstrates knowledge of vendors and product opportunities in each market to drive the right product with the right vendors.Evaluate the market to recommend the best source for a particular product or category of products. Research new opportunities based on market trends.Initiates and streamlines timely communication to all necessary parties, escalating when needed.Negotiate the best price for merchandise in conjunction with the buyers.Oversee and visit manufacturers, factories as required. Trouble shoots issues in a timely and accurate manner.Able to fairly and objectively assess each supplier's strengths and weaknesses to make the most rational decision towards business relations.
Job Requirements:
Minimum Formal education: Graduate Degree Strong product knowledge of Hard Home.Good Communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills, problem solving, negotiation and time management skills.Minimum 4/5 years of relevant experience of which at least 2 years' experience in buying office, agent, or well-known retailer catering to U.S. Market.Good communication, interpersonal, problem solving, negotiation and time management skills.
