About the Team
Deliver Procurement outcomes for Diageo within one or more categories of spend, through effective support to Category Specialists and Managers across Global Brand Supply Procurement This includes (but is not limited to):
Supporting Sourcing activities for specific categories of spend procured in Market, by providing analytical support for MCS & CMDeveloping subject-matter expertise for specific spend categories, and supporting collation of data to aid appropriate decision making for procurement and key partners
Accountable for active participation in a global community of procurement professionals in one or more spend categories, including joining regular meetings, supporting alignment around strategy, supporting development of own and others’ capabilities & expertise and sharing of standard methodologies. They are also accountable for aligning local data with Diageo standards for data and knowledge management and for ensuring global access to it.
About the Role
Monthly reporting and performance tracking are key to successful management of supplier performance.
Market Category Analyst Roles are aligned to categories however a degree of flexibility will be required in managing data needs across all categories & geographies within Global brand supply team. Each analyst to provide a standard level of service to the categories that they support comprising of;
Vendor change management – new SSH – all geographiesAd hoc requests for support in any key area within categoriesE-sourcing events – e.g. Compilation of supporting analysis, volumes, price, technical information SourcingPinnacle Scorecards & Admin responsibilitiesBuyers matrix maintenanceReview & Action monthly Sedex reportPrepare Category SMT Packs & Supplier reviews packs Month end reporting supportCategory Project supportSupport to category on annual standard setting exerciseUAT testing for relevant systems (adhoc)Supporting Specialist activity e.g. Benchmarking, overall management of specific suppliers (TPO), costing for Case Carton Assembly, VAP & Internal/external rework briefsPCMG PO creation (Utilities)Quarterly Fuels Survey (Utilities)Support Contract creationannual VAT exemption declaration (SV) VAT Plafond -working with SV Statutory & Tax analystOcean freight management includes new route creations & route changes, carrier rate request & changes in Z-freight, transit time changes.TMS updatesOcean freight Adhoc request – customer queries, blocks etc.
In this role you will be responsible for:
Market sourcing. Support sourcing activities for CM2 (above-market leverage) and CM1 (truly market-specific) spend categories. Engage community members as required, apply Diageo best practice standards.Market contracting. For relevant sourcing projects, prepare associated contract schedule information.Apply and improve tools & techniques. Apply Diageo best practice standards, ensuring the most recent and relevant approaches are always applied; use formal governance and peer review to ensure the quality and efficacy of risk management; contribute to development of standards.Supplier relationship. Apply standards, ways of working and trust relationships with market suppliers in relevant categories; ensure Diageo best practices are applied and that there is a good foundation for strong performance, risk mitigation and rapid resolution of issues.Supplier performance. Support definition and drive monitoring of critical metrics, improving the value of data generated and applied and liaise with Supply sites for resolution of escalated issues. Provide data analysis and input to the Category Specialist to manage the relationship with suppliers to the performance plan and maximise value for Diageo.Data management. Maintain all relevant data on systems e.g., vendor details, SEDEX, Pinnacle, z-freight, trackers, SAP.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
Graduate or equivalent qualification.Experience in Procurement, Finance, FMCG Commercial or other relevant role, with exposure to supply markets and spend categories relevant to the roleDemonstrated performance in projects and in cross-market teams.Strong analytical and financial awareness including a strong understanding of AOP requirements and financial goals & value drivers relevant to the categories in scopeTrack record of generating insights to influence decision-making; good commercial skillGood systems knowledge (esp. SAP, PRDM, M/S Office, E-collaborate or similar systems & tools)Strong verbal, written and presentation; strong interpersonal skillsProven track record of consistent performance and delivery
