The Opportunity:
Mattel is currently seeking a Sr Associate/Manager to join the Global Strategic Planning team at our El Segundo, CA headquarters. Each member of this team plays a key role in shaping the future of Mattel and its franchise brands, including Barbie, Hot Wheels, Fisher-Price, American Girl, Uno and MEGA.

Access to Mattel’s C-Suite and Senior-level executivesOwnership in cross-organizational projects with exposure to marketing, sales, and finance teamsProjects spanning the consumer goods, entertainment, and tech industries What Your Impact Will Be:
Work closely with our Leadership teams to define critical strategic, operational, and business development priorities, including brand and franchise growth priorities, business model innovation, etc. over a mid-to-long term horizonCreate impactful analyses of Mattel’s operations, markets, and competitors, using this information to support the development of strategic plansWork with division / strategy leadership to execute strategic projects, including:Forging initial hypothesesValidating through data and analysisLiaising with and influencing stakeholdersDeveloping roadmaps and resource plans for executionBuild thought leadership on the future state of adjacent industries (i.e., Digital Gaming, Content, Publishing, Podcasts, and Music) and their impact to MattelLead content development for quarterly strategic updates to our Board of DirectorsBuild relationships and drive influence across Mattel to support project execution and facilitate the flow of information Qualifications What We’re Looking For:
BA / BS degree and strong GPA from a top-tier university5+ years of total professional experience (or 3+ with an MBA) at a top-tier management consulting, in-house strategy, private equity, and / or investment bankingDemonstrated strategic thinking through structuring complex problems, developing hypothesis, and leading analysis, and developing data-driven recommendationsAbility to take conclusions from data and communicate and present actionable insights to leadership and business executivesSuperior written and oral communication skills, including presentation skillsAbility to collaborate with cross functional stakeholdersSelf-starter with a proven willingness to go the extra mile to drive activities through completionAgility to adapt to rapidly changing business needsStrong intellectual curiosity and emotional intelligence Preferred Qualifications:
MBA or equivalent advanced degreeConsumer, Tech, and / or Entertainment industry experienceDemonstrated a growth mindset by staying curious and continuously learning, embracing challenges, and improving themselves. The annual base salary range for this position is between $108,000 and $150,000
**This range is indicative of projected hiring range, however annual base salary will be determined based on a candidate’s work location, skills and experience.
