The Royal Caribbean Group's Celebrity Cruises brand has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Manager, Strategic Analytics on the Marketing Team reporting to the Sr. Director, Consumer Insights and Business Strategy
This position will work on-site in Miami, Florida.
Position Summary:
The Manager of Strategic Data Analytics is core to the Consumer Insights and Business Strategy department. You will provide guidance on key venues, new ships, destinations, and other opportunities that ultimately curate our guest experience and drive business performance. You will build the foundations of the newly formed Strategic Analytics team by consolidating information from both external sources and sources across the Royal Caribbean Group portfolio to develop powerful views and insights on a regular basis.
You will be a collaborative self-starter who uses innovation and intuition to creatively answer burning business questions that in the end inform the design of our future product portfolio.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Passionate about guest-centric analytics and the industry, deriving insights and telling guest's stories to help create new and exciting experiences.
Apply findings from benchmarking, research, trend forecasting, performance, and feedback to assist in the development of the scope of work for future ships, modernization of current ships, and other business opportunities.
Apply findings from benchmarking, research, trend forecasting, performance, and feedback to assist in defining key business opportunities that drive profitability.
Work closely in supporting the Consumer Insights team in developing tools and insights to round out a Voice of the Customer, and Voice of the Crew.
Be willing to travel by ship or land to conduct guest behavioral research which includes competitor benchmarking, venue utilization, mapping guest's journeys and sentiment, and other comparisons industry wide.
Support ad-hoc analysis in a fast-paced environment across various types of data, databases, and desktop research.
Build strong business acumen across commercial and operational arms of the company and connect these to communicate a simplified story. Develop and measure Key Performance Indicators from across the entire organization.
Identify and explore new data sources to enhance Celebrity's ability to make data driven decisions.
Collaborate cross functionally to create and share new analyses, updates and opportunities that enrich the organization's knowledge.
Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:
Four-year Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required
Minimum of five years of related analytics experience and/or training
Possess strong written and verbal communication skills and be able to work effectively with all levels of personnel
Complex Problem Solving: Ability to identifying the root cause of complex problems, develop options and recommend solutions
Strategic Analytics: Data combined with critical thinking to identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities
Presentation: Strong aptitude to present complex data analyses into simple, concise, and engaging stories that bring insights to the forefront
Project Management: Collaborate with various teams to align and influence strategic decision-making process
Strong Attention to Detail: Meticulous in ensuring data and insights presented are accurate
Technical Skills: Microsoft Office, Basic SQL, Power BI, Advanced Excel and PowerPoint required.
