Position Summary
CVS Health is on a journey to becoming the most consumer-centric health company and create winning experiences for customers, members, and clients. The Manager, Operations Strategy will play a critical role in helping CVS Health achieve this goal. As we look to deliver enhanced value, this role will be pivotal in providing supporting the Retail Operations strategic roadmap.
The Manager, Retail Operations Strategy will be a part of a team of focused on supporting the broader Retail Store Operations achieving goals centered on colleague and customer experience.
Responsibilities will include:
Develop and own a process for managing business monitoring metrics across the retail store operations portfolio. Proactively share critical results with leadership and use results to inform leadership priorities. Manage initiative level updates, partnering cross functionally to maintain up to date portfolio tracking systems
Support the planning of effective Retail Leadership Team meetings by creating agenda and meeting materials that achieve desired outcomes
Track performance against goals for both internal and field Operations teams to identify areas of opportunity
Create Field Expense COE to track holistic expense management for Field Operations teams
Provide inputs for various leadership updates and materials
This role will support the Chief of Staff and Operations Strategy lead in managing and tracking key outcomes and initiatives across the portfolio. This role will be a subject matter expert in operational and financial metrics and be responsible for synthesizing key insights for leadership updates and review. This role will support all field and central operations partners in achieving goals and key outcomes by identifying areas of synergy, opportunities, and risk. This role will support numerous leadership update materials as well as help the Chief of Staff with business priority initiatives as they arise.
This position requires strong collaboration skills as it is necessary to work cross functionally and influence our store teams, field leadership and internal business partners. This position will routinely interact with all teams in the Retail Store Operations groups, Finance, and Field Operations. This role will also partner closely with Enterprise Strategy and the Office of the President.
This position will afford the right candidate an opportunity to grow their skills in the areas of strategic planning, data analysis, project management, solution development, and presentation and interpersonal communication skills in a cross functional environment. The ideal candidate possesses a unique mix of leadership and communication skills that will allow them to excel in deploying innovative solutions that will be shared, adopted, and deployed across the chain to the benefit of our colleagues and consumers.
Required Qualifications
3+ years of experience in retail, operations, or strategy
3+ years of experience demonstrating the ability to think strategically and develop long-term plans that align with the organization's goals and objectives
3+ years of experience leading project management experience leading from inception to end of project launch
3+ years of experience creating new process and technology solutions in a fast-paced environment (retail experience a plus)
3+ years root cause analysis, problem solving, and operating procedure innovation that creates optimal end user experience
3+ years of experience leveraging strong communication skills to effectively influence and collaborate with team members and key stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes
3+ years of experience creating robust presentations that have a strong narrative to influence others
Adaptability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment, which may include both remote and in-office work, while maintaining high productivity and communication standards.
Advanced knowledge of change management techniques to move colleagues into the adoption phase of new processes in the most streamlined way possible
Self-directed
Proficiency in using data and analytics to make informed decisions and establish KPIs
Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, identifying issues and providing innovative solutions to overcome challenges.
Advanced skills using the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of experience demonstrating the ability to think strategically and develop long-term plans that align with the organization's goals and objectives.
5+ years of experience leveraging strong communication skills to effectively influence and collaborate with team members and key stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.
5+ years leading project management experience leading from inception to end of project launch
5+ years of experience launching and creating technology solutions in a fast-paced environment (retail launch experience a plus)

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$63,300.00 - $139,200.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
