KPMG is currently seeking a Manager, Office Experience to join our Administrative and Office Experience organization.
Responsibilities:
Manage the day-to-day activities of the Conference Services operation to include resource planning, analyzing statistical data, managing service levels contributing to the goals impacting the Conference Services
Work to guarantee proper food handling, operational expense control and procurement strategies and sources; respond to customer requests, meeting timelines; review invoices and accounts payable related to conference and catering services purchases; ensure proper p-card reconciliation of statements and approving invoices for processing; recommend and oversee procurement of site-specific conference and catering needs; this may include profit and loss responsibilities for operating a cost recovery model for all food and beverage and labor costs
Meet with clients and conference and catering vendors to bolster client and vendor relationships; negotiate pricing and service levels with vendors; safeguard integration of the relationship between Conference Services team, internal reservations team and facilities team to support all meetings and events
Support and manage local meeting and events (LME) by leaning into our national LME model to drive a consistent experience across offices
Perform people management of small to large teams; conduct performance management process for direct reports by completing goal setting, interim and year-end review, performance calibration and salary management; ensure team members are developing their skills through the leading, coaching, training, effective delegation of tasks and guidance in executing work team goals and objectives
Identify staffing resource requirements and develop business cases for hiring, interviewing, selecting, onboarding, and training of new team members
Qualifications:
Minimum five years of recent Operations Management experience, in a professional hospitality environment, including proven people leadership, operational and financial management experience
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience
Experienced and strong people leader; inclusive, approachable and team oriented, building, leading and mentoring teams in a positive environment
Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to interact with various levels of staff and work in a team environment with emphasis in conference services or hospitality industry related activity
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
