  Job Description

  Summarized Purpose:

  Leads a team within the department and ensures successful delivery of recruitment objectives, business growth and randomization targets through recruitment, engagement and retention of patients at sites. Serves as the country / region representative for the department. Develops and articulates activities and plans to maintain and grow a competitive advantage in patient recruitment, retention and enrollment. Plans the delivery of patients to studies and then to track delivery against recruitment achievements.

  NOTE: This role is looking for patient recruitment and marketing experience. This person will also have people management responsibilities.

  Restructuring of the global Country Recruitment Lead (CRL) role as a result of the evolving Site Network Patient Recruitment Strategy, has seen this role shift to a more strategic focus supporting the territory with recruitment strategies from bid-defense through to execution. The role is responsible for the following, which are all business critical activities to drive participants to sites and achieve delivery targets:

  - Timely provision and pressure testing of bid costings for patient recruitment in CRN (Clinical Research Network) opportunities.

  - Oversite and continual review of strategy execution.

  - Tracking and oversight of recruitment budget spend for CRN opportunity regardless of budget model.

  - Continual expansion of available SNPR tactics.

  - Active partnership with CDSD to maximise PRO tactics as needed following established process.

  - Management of CRS team, matrix management of POC team.

  - Track and report on delivery of SNPR tactics.

  Essential Functions:

  Leads staff, which may include interviewing and selection, job description preparation, professional development, goal setting, performance management, behavioral and technical coaching and mentoring, employee counseling, and separations. Approves courses of action on salary administration, hiring, corrective action, and terminations. Reviews and approves time records, expense reports, requests for leave, and overtime. Promotes all aspects of Equal Employment Opportunity policy and Affirmative Action Plan. Assures department adherence to good ethical and regulatory standards. Ensures success in accessing patients suitable for clinical studies at the sites through all forms of community outreach activities, focusing on GP and hospital networks and cultivating relationships with Key Opinion leaders in the community and managers/leaders in other institutions that may provide access to patients. Compiles reports and records for tracking purposes for the team. Builds and maintains a strong network of medical partners ( eferring doctors, pharmacists, specialists) and increases the awareness of the organization and clinical trials. Gains access to doctors /practice patient files and obtain relevant information. Oversees tracking and invoicing of patient leads Influences and motivates targeted physicians to refers participants. Increases site delivery by contributing to overall randomization targets and working towards quarterly goals. Builds strong network with non-medical partners (Patients advocacy groups, sport groups, social clubs, schools) to strengthen the awareness of clinical trials Cultivates and maintains respectable relations with the community and promote clinical trials attend community events. Maintains knowledge of current enrolling studies, timelines for the studies and protocol requirements. Ensures increases to the database and actively contribute and/or develops to initiatives and strategies to enroll potential participants onto the database.

  Education and Experience:

  Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualificationPrevious experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 5+ years).1+ year of leadership responsibilityIn some cases an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.

  Additional Details/Preferences:

  Significant experience of patient recruitment in clinical trial setting.Knowledge and experience of implementing multiple marketing tactics with demonstrably successful results.Experience of collaboration with multi-disciplinary healthcare professionals and building productive partnerships.Experienced team manager with ability to demonstrate evidence of TFS leadership competencies.Familiarity with healthcare system within territory.Existing network of healthcare professionals.

  Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  Good knowledge of value proposition and marketing strategies that meet company objectivesEffective collaboration skills and the ability to work well with others across all business unitsEffective written and verbal communication skillsStrong leadership, interpersonal and problem solving skillsSound financial competence and knowledge of budgeting, forecasting and fiscal managementGood negotiation skills with the ability to build relationships and influence othersAbility to effectively prioritize, manage, and deliver multiple projects under pressureStrong planning, analytical, organizational and project management skillsDemonstrated ability to manage outside agencies in order to fulfil project objectivesStrong skills in Microsoft Office suiteFamiliarity with the practices, processes and requirements of clinical monitoring, including solid understanding of relevant regulations e.g. ICH/GCP, FDA guidelines, etc.Strong judgment and decision making skills

  Working Conditions and Environment:

  Work is performed in an office environment with exposure to electrical office equipment.Occasional drives to site locations, frequent travels both domestic and international.

  Physical Requirements:

  Frequently stationary for 6-8 hours per day.Repetitive hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists.Moderate mobility required.Occasional crouching, stooping, bending and twisting of upper body and neck.Light to moderate lifting and carrying (or otherwise moves) objects including luggage and laptop computer with a maximum lift of 15-20 lbs.Ability to access and use a variety of computer software developed both in-house and off-the-shelf.Ability to communicate complex information and ideas so others will understand; with the ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.Frequently interacts with others, relates sensitive information to diverse groups both internally & externally.Ability to apply abstract principles to solve complex conceptual issues. Requires multiple periods of intense concentration.Performs a wide range of complex tasks as dictated by variable demands and changing conditions with little predictability as to the occurrence. Ability to perform under stress. Ability to multi-task.Regular and consistent attendance.
