Manager, Category Development - Tequila, Mezcal & Japanese Spirits

Position Overview
As the Manager of Category Development - Tequila, Mezcal, Japanese Spirits, you will play a pivotal role in shaping Beam Suntory's success by providing sales and marketing teams with tequila, mezcal, and Japanese spirit strategies and sell stories at the channel level. Reporting directly to the Sr. Director of Category Development, you will be responsible for working with our shopper insights team to build deep category understanding and communicating that understanding across the marketing and sales organizations.
Location: Based in any of our core offices (San Francisco, Los Angeles, Louisville, Miami, Chicago and New York) with a strong preference for New York or Chicago.
Role Responsibilities Develop a comprehensive tequila, mezcal, and Japanese spirit strategy aligned with overall business objectives, focusing on driving revenue growth, market share expansion, and increased brand loyalty Analyze shopper insights, market trends, and additional relevant data to create tequila, mezcal, and Japanese spirit sell stories for Customer Solutions team, minimizing the need for customized solutions Collaborate with Shopper Insights team to design and execute customized research studies that deliver insights required to build category understanding and create compelling sell stories Work with Channel Marketing and Brand Marketing teams to understand strategy and goals to incorporate in tequila, mezcal, and Japanese spirit sell stories Monitor competitor activities and market trends to proactively identify opportunities the tequila, mezcal, and Japanese spirit space Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field 4+ years of experience in category management, customer solutions, or associated field Strong knowledge of the alcoholic beverages industry and market Self-starter with ability to identify, create, and lead projects Exceptional technical, analytical, problem solving, and oral/written communication skills Ability to sit for prolonged period(s) of time and view computer screen Comfort with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) At Beam Suntory, people are our number one priority, and we believe our people grow together in diverse and inclusive environments where their unique insights, experiences and backgrounds are valued and respected.
