Manager, Account Management
Overview
Join Mastercard as an Account Manager, covering a maternity leave, and play a key role in orchestrating and growing Mastercard's relationships with strategic customers (within Financial Institutions) in Nordic & Baltics. As the primary contact, you will define and implement Mastercard's strategic and tactical agenda, ensuring the successful implementation of Divisional and Country strategies.
Responsibilities
As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for all account management and business development activities for a key customer for the division. Your primary focus will be on monitoring customer satisfaction, understanding their business strategies, and designing and executing tactical plans to enhance customer profitability.
Key responsibilities include:
• Sales and Revenue Generation: Deliver against sales targets for Mastercard products and services, actively drive the customer P&L, and identify and capture all revenue opportunities.
• Strategic Solutions: Provide strategic customer solutions by collaborating with cross-functional project teams, internal partners, and understanding the customer's organizational dynamics.
• Product Innovation: Lead clients in new product innovations, identifying and implementing incremental features and benefits in collaboration with internal partners, especially Product teams.
• Relationship Management: Develop strong relationships between Mastercard and the customer across all operational functions. Leverage internal resources to enhance customer value.
• Business Development: Contribute to the general business development of Mastercard in the Nordics & Baltics cluster.
Experiences
To succeed in this role, you will need:
• Sales and Key Account Management Skills: Extensive experience and skills in sales and key account management.
• Communication and Influencing Skills: Outstanding influencing, negotiation, and communication skills with senior management.
• Team Player: Strong team player with the ability to build relationships across functions.
• Self-Starter: Proven ability to take initiative and work independently.
• Business Acumen: Experience in driving business case development in support of revenue opportunities.
• Multi-disciplinary Knowledge: Demonstrate multi-disciplinary knowledge in areas such as marketing, operations, risk, debit, acquiring, and emerging technologies.
• Problem Solving: Ability to identify and proactively resolve issues, either directly or through escalation to appropriate partners.
• Market Knowledge: Good knowledge of the Swedish & Nordics payments market and new payment innovations.
• Education and Language Skills: Bachelor's degree or sales experience within a B2B environment is essential. Fluent in Swedish and English; other Nordic languages are a plus.
