Troubleshoot, repair, and fabricate machinery in a timely, safe,and accurate manner while keeping impact on production as minimal aspossible. Perform skilled fitting and aligning as required usingprecision measuring instruments for exacting measurements. Maintainmachines and support equipment for all departments includingpreventative maintenance. Work from drawings, specifications, and joblayouts. General maintenance of building and office (plumbing,electrical, installation of technology, etc.). Communicate withco-workers and others to carry out job duties. Installation, assembly,movement, or disassembly of machinery Contribute to the generalhousekeeping, upkeep, and organization of the department and toolingPerformance of all duties in a safe and ergonomically correct mannerPerform any assignments as instructed by department head, supervisor, orassigned lead person in department Inspects and measures parts to detectwear, misalignment, or other problems. Removes and replaces worn ordefective parts of drive mechanism or hydraulic system. May be requiredto work with Industrial Electricians and Maintenance Mechanics on jobswhen needed. Examine parts for defects, such as breakage or excessivewear. Record repairs and maintenance performed. ***** OTHEREXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: SUCCESSFUL PEOPLE IN THIS ROLE HAVE THEFOLLOWING SKILLS Associate\'s degree or equivalent from two-year collegeor technical school; or a minimum of three years related experienceand/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Strong mechanical ability and troubleshooting skills. Ability to readand interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenanceinstructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reportsand correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with employees of theorganization. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in allunits of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Ability to read and interpret ruler measurements. Ability to walk andstand frequently during an eight-hour shift. Ability to move up to 50lbs. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Prior Manufacturing experience preferred.ESSENTIAL FUNCTION Ability to stand for approximate duration ofscheduled shift (minus paid breaks), lift up to 20 lbs. frequently andup to 50 lbs. occasionally, repetitive grasping, frequent, twisting,lifting above shoulder height, occasional bend, reach, crouch, or stoop.Sensory requirements are tactile/touch with hands and digits, near andfar visual acuity, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception andability to adjust focus.
