What You Will Do
The Loading Machine Integration Team Product Manager will be responsible for the overall success of the loading portfolio within CTCT including products for Excavators, Wheel Loaders, and other loading machine types. You will be accountable to internal stakeholders and external customers for the aftermarket, Cat product groups, and non-Cat OEMs to develop, maintain, support, and innovate high quality products that will be commercially successful throughout their entire product lifecycle. In this role you will work directly with the Technical and Design leads as an empowered machine integration team to execute a roadmap of initiatives and objectives that enable the machine integration team to solve vetted customer problems across a continuum of customer market segments; including Local, Site, and Advanced contractors. You will be responsible for ensuring alignment with the CTCT commercial, product, and platform objectives.
The machine integration team releases products as grade control applications that will be built leveraging building blocks provided by the grade control platform teams including hardware solutions, positioning, commissioning, and control, and grade control platform software services. The machine integration team owns and is truly accountable for multi-tiered products segregated by machine types that are radically easy to use and provide customer value by solving valuable problems and creating positive business impact and ROI.
Along with the Technical and Design Leads, you will work in tight collaboration with Portfolio and Customer Segment teams to vet customer value opportunities and confirm the solutions in the delivered product will and do deliver value, effectiveness; build the right things and mitigating product waste. They will exercise excellent interpersonal skills to work within ambiguous situations, helping transform customer needs into product strategy, requirements and direction aligned with organizational objectives.
In this position you will be responsible for communicating tri-lingually; the money stories to senior staff, the context to the makers, the sellable stories to portfolio managers for marketing and sales.

The solutions in the product work for our business (Business viability risk)Decisions about what to do are made by balancing Product, Usability, and Engineering Feasibility risks in collaboration with Design and Technical LeadsSkilled with various data tools and is the company-acknowledged expert on their product's target users/customers and how their product is used and actually works.Own and manage the Roadmap for the Product team:Products are delivered with everything required for:a dealer or factory to sell, ship, install, commission, and support theman end user (operator, data services manager, technician, etc.) to use themdeep machine integrationtiered functionalitya parent team (when applicable) to extend the productThe decision to ship the products is owned and made by the Product Manager, Design Lead, and Technical lead.
