Job Title: Legal Assistant.
Duties consist of:
-Conducting legal research using electronic databases (Westlaw, Lexis), as well as, traditional methods;
-Conduct verdict searches;
-Review discovery responses, prepare and assemble document production, including redacting documents, as necessary;
-Draft correspondence;
-Draft and assemble briefs and motions, including tables, affidavits, exhibits and other documents;
-Assist AAG with trial preparation including digesting deposition transcripts, organizing and uploading trial motions and exhibits;
-Maintain and develop spreadsheet to track cases and discovery production; prepare and electronically file documents to NYSCEF;
-Learn and use intra-office electronic filing system;
-Copy and scan documents as necessary;
-Perform other duties as assigned.
The candidate must have the ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize work,set priorities and independently manage deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (pdf creation tools, outlook, word, excel, share-point) is a plus.
