The Category Management and Operations team drive business expansion of Target.com catalog by identifying new assortment opportunities for Target Plus - the marketplace business venture. The team works closely with Partner Acquisition, On-boarding and Operations, Site Experience, and Item to ensure all partners added meet or exceed expectations of what it means to be a Partner selling goods on Target Plus. The Operations Specialist, Category Management is responsible for coordinating and executing in favor of identified category assortment plans to bring new products and help partners grow business on Target.com
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As the Category Operations Specialist your mission will be to approve/execute new assortment items for Target Plus and assist our partners to grow their business on Target.com. Category Operations Projects - Execute BU level Item approvals and new assortment analysis using internal systems to support new item launches in a timely manner along with internal checks to remove or approve item existence in the system Inventory Management and Reporting - Recommend partners (also known as external vendors) healthy WOS basis seasonality and trends on their bestsellers with weekly/monthly reporting. Positive Influence key partners replenishment rates to ensure maximum GMV output& Out of stock trend to analyze weekly sales performance at Item & Partner level Partner Communication Mgmt. - Drive timely partner query mgmt. / resolution between internal stakeholders and offer business performance dashboards support to our key category and essential partners further grow their business Promo Executions - Deep study promo seasonality at BU level (Business Unit ) , pitch most relevant promotion opportunities via internal tools to Sr. BA's/ CatMan for adoption and support recap performance basis sales & profitability impact Process Excellence -This is an ideal role for a sales operations self-starter who is looking to take ownership in rapidly scaling process and partner management for an emerging business.With most agile organizations, job responsibilities may change/ evolve at any time based on business needs .
About you: Bachelor's degree in business management or equivalent educational qualification2+ years in inventory mgmt., digital merchandising or ecommerce operations experienceSales operations experience is of high importance, including problem solving, data analytics and project management skillsExtremely strong written and verbal communication skills, including influencing, negotiations skillsAbility to build and maximize relationships with partners, both internal and external
