The Palladium Vertical Solutions Engineering team is responsible for developing protocol interface solutions for Palladium emulation systems. These products connect the Palladium emulator to real-world circuits for ASIC verification. Focus is on protocols such as PCI Express, USB, Ethernet, SATA, SAS and Video.
As a Lead Software Engineer you will design, implement and test application-level software to provide new debug and data analysis capabilities for emulation. You will develop solutions for video and audio protocols, including video graphics display and audio playback. You will work on protocol analysis software for various interfaces such as CSI, DisplayPort, HDMI, USB4 and Ethernet. You will create and maintain debug/control software, leveraging client/server architecture as well as user applications to support remote operation of custom interface hardware. You will help define the architecture of future products and collaborate with HW teams in developing new software-based solutions for emulation. In addition, you will be responsible to address customer issues in deployed products.
Description:
Design, develop, modify, and productize Linux-based software applications for emulation solutions.
Perform as contributor on multiple software projects in Linux and Windows based environments.
Work on a broad range of problems related to software design, system integration and debug.
Responsibilities include embedded SW design on ARM processors, peripheral interface design (I2C, SPI, Ethernet), board bringup/integration, Linux application development and UI development using Qt.
Focus on the control and analysis of hardware systems in areas such as Video, PCIe, HDMI, MIPI, Ethernet and USB.
Support products after deployment.
Qualifications:
Bachelor or Masters degree in Computer Science or Electrical and Electronics Engineering
At least 4 years of relevant experience is needed if Bachelor degree or 2 years if Master degree.
Should be versatile in C, C++, Python or Perl, data structure, algorithms
Linux application programming familiar with ethernet communication, client/server architectures
Experience with SW performance optimization and performance analysis a plus
UI development with Qt is a plus
Knowledge of board-level protocols, such as I2C, SPI, JTAG is a plus but optional
