TITLE: Lead Software Developer
LOCATION: Maryland Heights, MO
JOB SUMMARY: Contribute to software design, service architecture, database design, compliance, and strategy in the delivery of high-quality software solutions. Guide team development efforts towards successful project delivery. Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits. Collaborate with other software developers, business analysts, and software architects to plan, design, develop, test, and maintain web- and desktop-based business applications. Design, develop, and unit test applications in accordance with established standards. Participate in peer-reviews of solution designs and related code. Package and support deployment of releases. Develop, refine, and tune integrations between applications. Assess opportunities for application and process improvements. Prepare documentation of rationale to share with team members and other affected parties. Assure compliance with company engineering standards, policies, and procedures. Be part of an effective front line leadership team and assist with developing direct reports to drive a high- performance culture and environment.
EDUCATION/ REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. 5 years of experience performing software development utilizing Java, JavaScript, SpringBoot, Spring MVC, Web Services (RESTful), XML/JSON, Object Oriented Programming, Oracle SQL Developer, Oracle DB, and API Gateway Technologies; and performing software development utilizing Postman. 4 years of experience with AppDynamics. 3 years of experience integrating business requirements and engineering technological solutions into IT platforms to solve business needs. 1 year of experience leading project segments, based on the documented business requirements, and delegating development tasks to junior developers; training and mentoring junior developers; and, performing code reviews to ensure compliance with security and software development standards and business requirements.
