UKG is looking to hire a Lead Full-stack Software Engineer for the Documents team within the FleX Foundations domain. You will take part in building our next-generation document platform to be used by all UKG products. This is an event-sourced system using MongoDB to persist state, with all microservices written in Kotlin and web components in Angular.
In support of our culture, we have adopted a hybrid working model of 3 days per week in the office and the rest of the week from home. The UKG office that this position can sit out of is Alpharetta, GA. We are interested in every qualified candidate who is eligible to work in the United States. However, we are not able to sponsor visas for this position, including temporary sponsorship through OPT.
Job Responsibilities:
• Designing, developing, testing, and deploying product features
• Developing, testing, and deploying single-page applications based on wireframes
• Writing clean, robust, performant, and secure code
• Provide mentoring for junior software engineers within the team
• Performing peer code reviews
• Troubleshooting, debugging and fixing product bugs
• Maintaining an up-to-date technical documentation
• Participating in team activities to maintain an iterative lifecycle and healthy work environment
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience developing applications in Java or Kotlin
• 2+ years of experience using Angular
• Experience with unit and end-to-end testing frameworks
• Experience in lint, build and deploy tools
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with Web Accessibility
• Experience building micro front ends
• Deploying applications to the public cloud
• Experience using JavaScript or TypeScript
• Building event-driven microservices with Kafka
• Databases such as NoSQL or MongoDB)
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience working within a Scrum team
