Job Description Summary

　　As lead engineer, you will work on a dynamic team designing, implementing, and creating artificial intelligence processes to ensure the quality of jet engine components. You will work with nondestructive testing modality experts, design, materials and manufacturing engineers to accelerate NDE productivity. You will work with other image analytics experts and software developers to create robust assisted defect recognition (ADR) algorithms to that ensure part quality with high reliability. You will work with the latest aerospace part designs and materials systems and work with the design teams to define inspection solutions and enable future productivity strategies. Software development projects include cloud computing, parallelization, computational optimization, and object-oriented design and could include many other artificial intelligence techniques.

　　Summary of Responsibilities:

　　Execute and provide guidance for the analysis/evaluation of assigned projects that meet business standards, practices, and procedures and the product/program requirementsInstitute collaboration practices between self-organizing and cross-functional teams. Apply appropriate regression testing methods to inspection software releasesIdentify need for technical and program reviews within the organization; lead and participate in the technical reviews with limited guidance from senior engineersDemonstrate ability to monitor and communicate project status, business issues, and significant developments as appropriateAssure proper documentation of technical data or programs generated for the assigned projects and tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures

　　Required Qualifications

　　Bachelor's Degree accredited college or university (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in relevant engineering or software development experience) + Minimum of 3 years of relevant engineering or software development experience

　　Desired Characteristics

　　Image processing experience; Rhythm, VG Studio and Avizo software platforms experience; Matlab, Python/numpy, or other engineering scripting languagesExperience leading development teams for design of software architectures and incorporation of customer requirements with a focus on qualityTroubleshoot local area network connected multi-computing environmentsAbility to guide and influence othersIn-depth understanding of engineering technology, tools, and computer operating systemsDemonstrated software coding capabilities and computer networking/security capabilities in a production environmentExperience in a nondestructive testing environmentExperience with aviation quality requirements and systems
