Job Description

　　This position requires the instrument calibration technician to provide onsite services, such as:

　　Calibration, Troubleshooting, Repair, and Preventive Maintenance of laboratory and process instrumentation and equipment for Customers regulated by the USDA, ensure conformance to established calibration and process specifications.Capable of supporting the calibration of: Gas, Conductivity, Dimensional, Flow (air & liquid), Humidity, Level, Load Cells & Scales, pH, Pipettes, Power Supplies (volts/amps), Pressure, Resistance, Speed, Temperature, and Timing Devices.Support laboratory equipment calibrations and loop calibrations of process instrumentation to ensure conformance to established calibration and process specifications.Follow our Company's, SOPs, Customer Procedures, and industry best practices.

　　Education Requirement:

　　High School Diploma with 7 years of experience or Associates degree in technical discipline such as Industrial Maintenance Technology with 5 years of experience

　　Required Experience and Skills:

　　Third grade boiler license or able to obtain within 2nd year (company sponsored)Must be computer literate, proficient in Microsoft office, email, and can learn to work within custom database and software applications, to perform routine job duties.Aptitude to effectively problem-solve and collaborate with othersStrong Interpersonal and communication skills, ability to move between task types and remain efficient, show initiative, good planning and organizational skills look for and pitch process improvements.Must be able to lift 50 lbs., work on equipment bending, kneeling, sitting, and/or standing.Successful completion of a Physical Abilities TestStrong Interpersonal and communication skills, ability to move between task types and remain efficient, show initiative, good planning and organizational skills look for and pitch process improvements.Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to solve problems and make decisions while working in manufacturing environmentAbility to follow written and verbal instructions, including the ability to comprehend equipment instruction/service manuals and drawingsStrong verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact with a variety of customers (Production, Vendors, and Management).Support team with positive motivation and team engagementSuggest and work on continuous improvement initiatives to achieve zero losses due to equipment failures and technical issuesAssist with completion of team workload as scheduledConduct other duties as assignedExpertise and proficiency with basic office computer software, and the ability to learn how to effectively use SAP maintenance software and ProCal calibration software to input data, research parts and analyze repair history details.Exposure to extreme temperatures, outside weather in all conditions, high noise environments, work areas near moving mechanical parts and any chemicals used in production process
