Under the direction of the services supervisor, the laborer position provides daily support to plant operations and shipping/receiving. The laborer performs daily tasks including chemical offloading, preparing product shipments, assisting with tailings pond operations and basic general plant housekeeping.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
work around hazardous chemicals
lift and move 50 pounds comfortably and repetitively
operate a forklift
climb and descend stairs and ladders repetitively, safely and unassisted
work in confined spaces
properly don required personal protective equipment, including full face respiratory protection
Education and/or Experience
must be at least 18 years old
High school diploma or equivalent
valid drivers license
basic computer skills
previous work-related skill, knowledge or experience preferred
MSHA certification preferred
mobile equipment experience preferred
Applicants must be capable of working in a team environment. Effective and clear communications and following work rules and safety rules are essential. English comprehension - speaking, reading and writing is critical.
