Job Description: Brevan Howard US Investment Management LP is seeking a Junior Portfolio Manager in New York, NY to identify trade opportunities across traditional macro asset classes. Execute trade ideas and act as primary manager for associated risk as junior portfolio manager. Develop, implement and execute investment strategies. Research new investment ideas, building investment thesis or models. Identify short- and longer-term opportunities based on micro and macro fundamentals. Monitor and explain PnL and performance. Manage risk and develop strategies to maintain profits. Oversee the establishment and building of trade opportunities. Interpret analysis performed by trade analysts. Manage live portfolio risk daily to ensure the portfolio operates within defined risk limits. Coach and mentor junior financial analysts. Implement improvements in portfolio development process. Lead organizational initiatives and development of standards.Minimum Requirements:Must have a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a closely related finance field. Must have 2 years of post-baccalaureate experience as an Analyst or Trade Analyst at an Investment firm. The 2 years of experience must include experience with executing and analyzing trades across traditional macro financial products including US treasuries, Interest Rate Swaps, Interest Rate Options, and Agency Mortgages; Equity, Credit, Commodities, Options and Alternative Derivative products across products across geographies including U.S., European Union, Japan, and emerging markets; data science; analytical modeling; programming utilizing Python; and Bloomberg Terminal.Salary $200,000/yr.
