We are seeking experienced and motivated professionals who are looking to return to the workforce after a career break of a minimum of 2 years for various professional roles that support our Supply Chain business to include subcontracts, procurement and planners. Positions can be located in Baltimore/Linthicum, MD; Rolling Meadows, IL; Woodland Hills, Sunnyvale, CA.
The Northrop Grumman iReturn program provides experienced professionals with internal support, mentors, and connections with other iReturning employee to transition back to a full-time career in one of several fields at Northrop Grumman through training, professional development, and networking opportunities. This "Returnship" program focuses on providing you with a seamless transition back into the workforce.
Some of the potential duties might include:d evelops subcontract specifications, work statements, and terms and conditions for the procurement of specialized materials, equipment, and/or services. Prepares bid packages, conducts bidders conferences, analyzes and evaluates proposals, negotiates subcontract provisions, selects or recommends subcontractors, writes awards, and administers resulting subcontracts. Negotiates and coordinates additions, deletions, or modifications to subcontracts. Participates with contracts administration and purchasing to develop subcontract policies and procedures. Sources and procures goods and services of a commodity nature from many suppliers. Initiates Requests for Quotations and Proposals and analyzes proposed pricing from potential suppliers. In conjunction with quality organization, evaluates and monitors supplier quality and reliability, as well as supplier ability to support required delivery schedules. Works with internal customers to ensure specifications are appropriate for the services or products required. Identifies opportunities to reduce cost, improve efficiency and manage risk through targeted negotiations. Issues purchase orders and manages its life cycle. Providing support to the program team to evaluate material and equipment requirements throughout the life of the program.Understanding the breadth of the supply chain management scope (including materials management, procurement, subcontracts, material finance, and supplier relationship management)Planning and coordinating program requirementsMonitoring and establishing material inventoryAddressing supplier capacity and/or production issuesEvaluating suppliers and noting key performance indicatorsBasic Qualifications:
Career break of at least 2 years
Bachelor's Degree and 3+ years of Procurement, Supply Chain, Sourcing, or closely related business experience;
OR a Master's degree and 1+ years of Procurement, Supply Chain, Sourcing, or closely related business experience.
Experience with MS Office including Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong problem solving skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Supply chain experience for an aerospace and/or Defense Company.
Procurement experience in a manufacturing environment.
Supply Chain or Procurement experience
FAR/DFARS or government contracts experience
Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP

Salary Range: $67,000 - $105,200
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
