Canadian National Railway Company (CN) is looking for a highly motivated person to fulfill a full-time (40h/week) Intern, Operations HRBP Team position in Homewood, IL from May - August 2024.
Job Summary
The Intern, Operations HR is responsible for collaborating with Human Resources Business Partners (HRBPs) in US and Canada, and interfacing with the Engineering, Mechanical and Transportation Human Resources (HR) function as well other HR groups to add value to the team. The role provides exposure to all sub-functions within Operations and to Canadian and US HR processes and practices.
Major Responsibilities
Review Organization structure by removing vacant positions that will not be filled in partnership with the staffing team and HRBPsMaintain inventory of all Mechanical and Engineering positions, identify which ones have newly formatted job descriptions and which ones have been graded by the Job Evaluation Committee (JEC)Partner with function and external vendor to create job descriptions for key positionsCollaborate with function to co-present job descriptions to JEC for gradingSupport the recruitment process for Operations
