Canadian National Railway Company (CN) is looking for a highly motivated person to fulfill a full-time (40h/week) Intern, Intermodal Market Analyst position in Toronto, ON from May - August 2024.
Job Summary
The Intern, Intermodal Market Analyst is responsible for developing a deep understanding of CN's customer needs within the organization's competitive environment through market research and data analytics. The position supports the International Intermodal Marketing team in expanding the market share. The role represents an opportunity to learn about the International Intermodal business and gain insights into CN's Consumer Products Supply Chain as goods move across North America from production to final delivery. Moreover, the incumbent will gain an understanding of pricing, contract management, revenue tracking, and creating supply chain solutions as they relate to intermodal transportation.
Major Responsibilities
Administer specific pricing and marketing activities, including contract and price applicationGenerate reports and collaborate in analysisAssess market and modal competition, costs, service requirements and equipment availabilityUndertake research related to corridor pricing structure and modal competitionPerform market research including competitive market dataCarry out other projects as requested by supervisor or manager
