Position Overview:
The Information Security team, responsible for Governance Risk and Compliance, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Information Security Intern to join our team. Security is paramount to the value of our Symphony Platform.
Symphony is used by over 350 regulated companies in critical sectors such as Financial Services. The Information Technology Security Intern’s understanding of security best practices, incident response models, and compliance methodologies are applied to projects and processes across the Symphony organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Work with the Development and Security teams to integrate the NIST post-quantum cryptography candidate algorithms into the Symphony cryptography libraries. Deploy a Symphony proof of concept platform utilizing the post-quantum algorithms and work with the Development and Quality Engineering team to test application functionality. Perform application load testing to assess the efficacy of post-quantum algorithms at production scale loads.
Qualifications:
Enrolled in a degree program related to Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field. Strong interest in information security and a desire to learn about security principles. Basic understanding of network and system security concepts. Basic understanding of cryptography algorithms and their use to encrypt and decrypt data. Proficiency in Java development Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
