Canadian National Railway Company (CN) is looking for a highly motivated person to fulfill a full-time (40h/week) Intern, Analyst Performance Measurement position in Montreal, QC from May - August 2024.
Job Summary
The Intern, Analyst Performance Measurement is responsible for conveying complex business concepts into technical language and vice versa. The incumbent collaborates with business partners. Additionally, the position measures pertinent information.
Major Responsibilities
Translate business requirements into dashboards and scorecardsReport effective solutions using BI platform and toolsContribute, prepare, and execute implementation plan detailsApply and ensure compliance with appropriate CN Information and Technology (I&T) standardsDiagnose and resolve dashboard, report issues, and determine optimal resolutionsEnsure dashboard and report delivery to business users as well as participate in active monitoring of the request, issues reported, and optimal environmentCollaborate with Business Analysts to refine project requirements knowledgeValidate data qualityExecute root cause analysisPerform Quality Assurance testsReport progress status, provide, and verify work estimates

Education/Certification/Designation
Working towards a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, related field or equivalent work experience
Technical Skills/Knowledge
Knowledge of Toad and other data profiling toolKnowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL)Familiarity with BI tools, including Crystal Reports and Business ObjectsKnowledge of Systems, Applications and Products (SAP) Business Objects 4.2, including Webi and Universe, SAP BW, Tableau, Microsoft BI, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), and Power BIKnowledge of Jira and other workload management tools
Any experience/education/skills/knowledge for these above would be considered as an asset
