  Responsibilities

  OVERVIEW:

  The IT Business Analyst II is responsible for clearly understanding user workflows, training/communication and analytics while working collaboratively as a team member of the Core Clinical Informatics (Cl) team. Serves as a liaison between project managers, end users, clinical and leadership stakeholders, the technical team and ISD partners. Independently manages priorities and deadlines, both individually and those of the Core Cl. Performs analysis and programming addressing challenging tasks as needed. Responsible for designing and implementing innovative solutions leveraging EMR and various data sources aligned with organizational priorities and objectives. Strategically communicates with team members and stakeholders in a variety of settings within URMC. Leverages process improvement and change management methodologies as well as clinical and technical expertise.

  MAJOR RESPONSIBILITES :

  Under general direction and with considerable latitude to exercise independent judgment and initiative:

  Works with the Core Cl team to clearly understand user workflow to improve usability while reducing redundancy and inaccuracy. Understands the effects of technology on our ability to provide patient care and implement new programs.

  Provides coordination of disparate groups to achieve consensus for common goals and outcomes.

  Liaison between operational program and project leads and ISD partners while utilizing 'Foundation first' thinking.

  Collaborates with Medical Informatics Manager to set priorities and manage work streams to efficiently use resources and achieve program goals and deadlines

  Participates in the implementation of an enterprise strategy focused on population health management

  Designs and implements innovative solutions leveraging EMR and various data sources aligned with organizational priorities and objectives.

  Facilitates the collaborative and iterative process of data acquisition to support program and project evaluations

  Leverages data in innovative ways to present clear and meaningful perspectives in order to be acted upon and used in patient level and institutional decisions

  Supports institutional reporting by consolidating multiple data sources within a core process, presentation and delivery framework

  Collaborates with various key roles in the development and delivery of training to ensure the workforce knows the why and has the technical skills necessary to make the project successful.

  Participates on program or department related teams/committees

  Demonstrates the llCARE values in each of the major responsibilities; including other duties as assigned

  EDUCATION & REQUIREMENTS:

  A Bachelor's degree in a clinical field, allied health, informatics, related technical discipline, or equivalent combination of experience is required and 3 years of equivalent combination of education and experience. Master's degree preferred.

  PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  A minimum of 3 years' experience working in a healthcare sector, specifically EMR

  Ability to create consensus through team and relationship building; excellent communication skills; systems thinking; comfort in challenging the "status quo" and ability to manage several projects simultaneously, on tight deadlines and at a high level are all critical skills.

  Pay Range

  Pay Range: $62,200 - $93,300 Annually

  The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
