  Responsibilities

  The Opportunity

  The Customs Declaration LATAM Supervisor will be responsible for preparing and collecting the needed information for the filing of I/E declarations across the different countries of the region. The role will work together with the customs broker procurement team in order to commission customs brokers and assure that the services needed for the region are being met. The role will be responsible for creating and excecuting SOP's for both the customs brokers and the declaration team to assure the correct information is being declared and that the service being delivered in the region are met with the same standard. The supervisor will receive the filled declarations from the customs brokers and confirm that they have been correctly filled according to the HS Tariff Codes, special programs, free trade agreements and/or free trade zones benefits being used for the operation.

  As TW586 Customs Declarations - LATAM your responsibilities would consist of:

  Create baseline of free trade agreements, special programs, free trade zones and special duty regimes that are currently being usedCreate a baseline of existing incoterms being used for their correct declaration within the customs declaration formats in the different countries of the regionCreate a guide for the filling of the customs declaration for the different countries within the region and the different documents needed for the filing and clearance of goods in the countries Analyze new duty optimization opportunities that leverage the team's productivity targets such as free trade agreements or special import/export programsSupport the team's automation initiatives in collaboration with the global excellence and continuous improvement teamsLead team in delivering baseline of existing incoterms, free trade agreements, special import export programmes, free trade zones and import export duty regimes. Work hand by hand with the Global Trade and Compliance group to assure the correct declaration of all information on customs documentationAlign import requirements and documentation with import lane owners (planning, GP), to confirm that all required documentation is available at time of declaration Create SOP's for communication with Customs Brokers that assure a smooth operation and import/export of the needed goodsSupport standardization, continuous improvement, and knowledge management to unlock overall I/E and Customs & Trade optimization and decision making across sectorsBuild and strengthen relationships across sectors to assure smooth import export operation of goods Build and strengthen relationships with the different CB's across the regionProvide needed information for KPI's regarding customs declaration filing and presentation according to set times and serviceSupport Global communities of practice for I/E improving sector collaboration with Global team and with each other and sharing best practices

  Who Are We Looking For?

  Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in International Trade, Customs Management2-4 years experience in a similar roleAbility to positively influence teams outside of direct responsibility and across multiple business unitsCapable of working in a remote work groupUtilize technical/functional knowledge that creates opportunities and solves business problemsSelf-starter with attention to detail and experience leading multiple teamsAbility to work collaboratively and proactively across multi-functional, sector, and business teams Excellent written and oral communication skills; proactively communicates using appropriate methods for situation and

  audience in clear, concise and professional manner

  English and portuguese Fluency both written and verbal required; Exceptional communication skills across global businesses Experience developing and deploying large, complex best practices or projectsExperience with IT platforms and tools including design, configuration, development and implementationStrong track record of developing capabilities Strong track record in formulating innovative solutions and driving changeAbility to navigate through ambiguity and adapt quickly to a changing environmentStrong team player passionate about collaborating, and committed to teamwork in all situationsAdvanced excel and other Microsoft tools (Powerapps, PowerBI/Tableau)
