This position provides instrument and electrical technical support toconstruction, plant facilities and field operations. The position willrepair, install, troubleshoot, and perform predictive and preventativemaintenance tasks on control systems, natural gas compression or pumpstations, SCADA, and other equipment contained within gas and liquidfacilities and pipelines. Additionally, this position will inspect,troubleshoot, and maintain process control systems such as PLCs or DCS andother similar equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform eachessential job duty satisfactorily. The essential job duties for this positionare listed below:
Install, diagnose, and maintain SCADA systems, plant, pipeline,and compressor instrument and electrical equipment components with all jobduties and responsibilities executed in a reliable and efficient manner whilein compliance with the Partnership's procedures and regulatory requirements.Install, diagnose, and maintain pneumatic and intelligent instruments,electrical distribution systems, motor control gear, and associatedequipment softwareInstall, diagnose, and maintain PLC's or DCS systems & process orsafety controlsRead and interpret manuals, policy, engineering standards,regulations, drawings, and schematics, including electrical,pneumatic, and P&ITest, calibrate, and document plant and compressor station control andsafety devices per DOT 192, DOT 193, DOT 195 or applicable PSM 1910requirements and ensure frequencies of required preventative maintenance taskare kept currentParticipate in call out/on call requirementsActively participate in partnership safety programs and initiativesPerform specialized technical skills (i.e. develops complex designprojects, cost estimates, evaluates electrical systems, build andmaintain ESD systems, maintain gas turbine or skid unit control systems)Provide work direction, oversight, and inspect other work provided bythird party contractorsProvide mentoring and oversight to less qualified employeesProvide accurate written and electronic reportingComply with partnership safety policies and proceduresPerform energy isolation lockout/tagout procedures (LOTO)Required Education:High school diploma or GEDRequired experience is commensurate with the selected job level:Level C requires a minimum of 0 - 2 years of relevant industry experience orequivalent work experienceLevel B requires a minimum of 2 - 4 years of relevant industry experience orequivalent work experienceLevel A requires a minimum of 4+ years of relevant industry experience orequivalent work experienceRequired Qualifications:Valid driver's license with demonstrated safe driving recordAbility to maintain motor controls, relay logic, RTU's, I&Eassociated end-devicesProficiency with MS Office Suite including Outlook and WordExperience using software to troubleshoot, design, or configure controlsolutions specific to In Touch Wonderware or Factory Talk, Al en BradleyRSLogix, or Delta VExtensive knowledge of DOT 192 DOT 193, and DOT 195, as it pertains torequired testing and documentation for plants, compressor stations,pipelines, and/or facilities as requiredDemonstrated understanding of the National Electric Code and OSHA 1910 as itrelates to electrical systemsPreferred Qualifications:State Electrical LicenseAssociates Degree in InstrumentationRelated software and system certifications (i.e. Factory Talk, Delta V, etc.)Working Conditions and Requirements:The work environment characteristics described here are representative ofthose an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of thisjob.Frequent exposure to heat, cold, and other adverse weather conditionsRepetitively standing, walking, bending, stretching, reaching overshoulder height, and climbing ladders up to 25 feet.
