H&W Communication Manager
The Role
As a Health & Welfare (H&W) Communication Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the H&W communications needs of our clients. The H&W CM works directly with our WI Strategic H&W clients to support their communications strategy and partners with Health & Welfare Operations teams to develop and deliver information to participants.
You will innovatively and efficiently deliver communication & education to Fidelity's H&W clients' participants to help them understand the H&W offering.
Ensuring strong client satisfaction by delivering effective communications based upon client needs and goals, and delivering high quality communication servicesParticipating in and leading client meetings to review communication requirements, deliverables and alternatives, negotiating deadlines, and reviewing budget implicationsUnderstanding plan-specific materials to develop knowledge of each client's plan provisionsOverseeing the development and maintenance of project plans and status reports to manage multiple projects with competing prioritiesManaging projects "end-to-end" by coordinating all resources to ensure that deadlines and client deliverables are metBalancing client needs with focus on cost management by proposing alternative solutions that fit within budget constraints and/or identifying fee-for-service opportunitiesScoping large-scale and fee-for-service projects to set realistic budget expectations and timeframes with clientsActively executing and billing any fee-for-service opportunities, including review and approval of all client communication expenses/billing as appropriateActively identify any process improvement opportunities within the C&E area and working with appropriate business partners to implement changesParticipating in additional project management responsibilities and department initiatives, depending on capacity
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
BA/BS RequiredExperience in employee benefits communication and/or H&W product experience preferred3 years of communications or writing experience preferredYour working knowledge of communication process from writing and design through distribution across multiple media (print, internet, video)The ability to write and/or edit readable, user-friendly copy and integrate graphics to enhance messageYour demonstrated project management successThe ability to make decisions independentlyYour knowledge of the communications and healthcare industry and standardsThe ability to create and foster strong relationships with both internal partners and WI plan sponsors
The Team
Your efforts will require communications to H&W participants helping them to understand their H&W plans and options. You will partner internally with key business partners such as Operations, client services and production to meet client needs.
