Job Description
Insight Global is looking to add 4 Senior HVAC and Refrigeration Technician to a client's team in St. Louis. They have 2 openings on their second shift team (2:00pm-10:30pm) and 2 openings on their third shift team (10:00pm-6:30am). Responsibilities will include the following:
Maintain & fix all production equipment associated within the department to prevent and/or correct mechanical & electrical breakdowns following strict product safety & quality standards.
Troubleshoot all production equipment associated within the department to prevent and/or correct mechanical & electrical breakdowns following strict product safety & quality standards.
Perform installations, preventive maintenance, and repairs on building, mechanical equipment and utility systems using one or more trade skills.
May run machinery requiring specific trade skills and certification.
Maintains current knowledge of all applicable procedures and safety measures.
Comply and actively participate in all safety and environmental policies, procedures, and programs.
Perform all tasks as assigned by supervisor.
Skills and Requirements
3 years of experience performing maintenance related work
Background in industrial HVAC, mechanical, electrical, computer systems.
Must be able to assemble and install refrigeration or air conditioning components such as compressors, condensers, evaporators, and metering devices.
Must be able to start up systems, test lines to detect leaks, and record the readings taken to ensure that the system is functioning satisfactorily.
Experienced to repair heating equipment, fix gas-fired equipment and calibrate all gas-related controls
Knowledge of & capable of performing special technical skill (basic electrical troubleshooting, basic PLC skills, machining, welding tasks, high pressure gases)
Working knowledge of electrical installation & construction, AC/DC motor drives, gearboxes, hydraulics & pneumatics systems
Physical Requirements / Work Environment:
Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Education High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree a plus but not required
Experience with Windows based PCs null
