The Human Resources Administrator assists the business unit in support and administration of policies, procedure, recruiting, benefits and other area of the Human Resources function.
This position will serve our Air Conditioning Division, located in Fort Smith, AR. This position is a one-year temporary assignment with possibility for extension or full time transition.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
• Assist with the administration and compliance of all city, state, and federal laws relating to the human resources function.
• Assists in the creation and maintenance of human resources records, forms and documents.
• Answers basic employee questions about human resources policies and offerings.
• Coordinates interviews, orientations, company-wide meetings and training sessions.
• Assist in the administration of company policy and procedures pertaining to rules, regulations, and benefits.
• Processes employee status changes and benefits enrollments; maintains records of completed transactions.
• Inputs HR-related data and compiles standard reports for management review.
• Act as a resource to supervisors and managers regarding interpretation of human resources policies and procedures; refers to specialist as needed.
• Assist in the administration of the company's constructive discipline policy.
• Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
WHAT YOU NEED:
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 5+ years' experience in human resources administration
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficient computer skills and in-depth knowledge of relevant software such as MS Office Suite.
• Demonstrated ability to work well with others in a matrix team environment.
• Broad knowledge of the principles, laws, and regulations related to the management of human resources (city, state, & federal employment laws).
• Experience in disciplinary policy administration.
• Experience in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring new employees.
• Experience in administering and managing employee benefits.
• Experience in monitoring, evaluating, and preparing evaluations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects and deal with numerous interruptions.
HOW TO STAND OUT:
• Associates Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
• Bachelor's Degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field
• Experience in a manufacturing or warehousing environment preferred.
