HR Senior Manager
ABOUT THE ROLE:
DIG’s HR Senior Manager is responsible for oversight of daily operations of the People team, ensuring that DIG complies with all applicable city, state and federal guidelines/laws and avoids missteps that could result in hefty fines, legal ramifications and reputation damage. In this role, you will work closely with fellow People team members as well as Ops Leadership and Senior Leadership, to plan and execute against DIG’s HR and People strategy. In its highest form, DIG’s HR Senior Manager plays a strategic and proactive role in identifying potential risks and challenges that impact the health of the business, ranging from having the foresight to prevent legal and compliance issues to observing employee trends through data that affect retention and performance. You will work collaboratively with others at DIG in order to gain insights and come to the table with innovative solutions to keep the business thriving.
YOU WILL:
See to it that all aspects of HR Compliance procedures throughout the employee lifecycle are properly adhered to (I-9s, E-Verify, leave of absence, performance documentation, record retention, etc.) Act as point person for weekly payroll for our outsourced Payroll department, ensuring the final submission is correct and that all outstanding payroll issues are resolved Work closely with external legal counsel on pending litigation and due diligence, high risk employee relations issues, policy questions, and guidance on all things compliance Initiate and maintain permits that allow DIG to operate Maintain employee handbooks as needed and stay in-the-know on all changes Work in-step with key stakeholders to ensure Fair Workweek training is properly rolled out to ensure we are operating in accordance with the law at all times Act with the employee experience top of mind, continuously seeking feedback, inefficiencies, and maintaining business relationships based on trust and respect Partner closely with the broader team to ensure our people operations programs, processes, and systems align with our business goals and manage risk appropriately Ensure completion of required employee training, including harassment prevention and diversity and inclusion Oversee our annual compensation and benefits program, making recommendations to senior leadership based on rigorous cost benefit analysis data and employee insights data See to it that all benefits administration, enrollments and reconciliations are handled in a timely fashion every month Maintain the company org chart and employee directory YOU HAVE:
5-7+ years hands-on experience supporting a compliance function (restaurant experience is a plus but not essential). Deep understanding and knowledge of all applicable city, state and federal employee guidelines/laws. You are an avid researcher and are seen as a true subject matter expert in HR compliance. Proven experience establishing, implementing, and executing HR processes in a fast-paced environment.Enthusiasm for thinking differently, tackling complex problems, and identifying new ways of doing things. You can quickly recognize, diagnose and solve problems for teams and leadership.A natural ability to drive solutions. You create processes surrounding strategic goals and direction with people top of mind. Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with a high degree of professionalism. Exceptional time management and organization skills to manage deliverable prioritization and conflicting timelines in a fast paced environment.Experience in organizational change, development & training, employee relations, compensation, and benefits. Serious customer and team focus. A strong desire to help people. Great communication skills - written and verbal. Spanish is a plus! COMPENSATION:
Salary Range: $100-130,000/year
Our salary ranges are rooted in the desire to pay competitively relative to our organization size and industry, reflecting just one part of the total compensation package; additional components include a bonus potential, healthcare benefits, various work perks (commuter benefits, free lunch) as well as opportunities for continued growth at DIG.
Individual compensation decisions are determined by factors that include current market location, skills-based qualifications, prior work experience, and balancing internal equity relative to other DIG employees. We expect the majority of candidates who are offered roles at DIG to fall healthily within the ranges based on these factors.
