JOB PURPOSE:
Supervises, organizes, and directs duties ofHousekeeping Department. Performs various tasks to provide that nursing centeris maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinatesand oversees the actives and actions assigned to housekeeping partners
Inspectsand makes daily rounds to ensure housekeeping duties are being performed and toassure that procedures are being rendered to meet the needs of the facility.
Evaluatesproductivity and quality of work of each employee and determines additionaltraining needs.
Reportsoccupational exposure to bodily fluids, infectious materials, and hazardouschemicals in accordance with the facility’s policies and procedures governingaccidents and incidents.
Ensurehousekeeping partners are wearing personnel wear and/or use safety equipmentand supplies
Reviewand assist in the plan of correction for housekeeping deficiencies noted duringsurvey
Ensurethat stock level of housekeeping supplies are maintained
Participatesin departmental budget planning and supplies for housekeeping.
9. Mustbe able to perform all job duty responsibilities of partners in thehousekeeping department

High school graduate orequivalent, preferred. A minimum, two(2) year(s) experience in a supervisory capacity in a hospital, long term carecenter or other related healthcare facility, preferred. Training in environmental control practicespreferred, but not required.
