Reporting to the Head of Agency Development, you will be responsible for driving business growth by establishing and nurturing strong relationships with advertising and media agencies. Your role will involve developing and executing comprehensive agency development strategies, identifying new business opportunities, and driving revenue generation. With your deep understanding of the media industry and agency dynamics, you will be the lead senior Hearst contact across your group of agency's and be instrumental in delivering exceptional client experiences and achieving sales targets.

ABOUT THE ROLE
You will have many external and internal stakeholders to influence whilst maximising all nature of revenue opportunities. Develop and implement a strategic plan to drive agency development and increase partnerships with advertising and media agencies. Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at agencies, serving as a trusted advisor and building long-term partnerships. Identify and pursue new business opportunities, leveraging industry knowledge, market insights, and client needs to drive revenue growth. Meet or exceed sales targets by proactively identifying and closing new business deals with agencies, negotiating contracts, and ensuring a strong pipeline of opportunities. Collaborate closely with agencies to understand their goals, develop customised advertising solutions, and provide guidance on media planning, buying, and campaign optimisation. Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and industry trend analysis to identify growth opportunities, emerging trends, and client needs, informing agency development strategies and initiatives. Work closely with internal cross-functional teams to align strategies, leverage resources, and deliver integrated solutions to agency partners. Provide accurate and timely sales forecasts, reports, and performance analysis to the HOAD, tracking key metrics, and identifying areas for improvement at a agency, group and client level.ABOUT YOU
Substantial experience in sales, business development, or agency management within the media industry. Proven track record in successfully developing agency partnerships, driving revenue growth, and achieving sales targets. In-depth understanding of the media industry, advertising landscape, and agency dynamics. Strong network of relationships with advertising and media agencies. Excellent sales and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport, influence stakeholders, and close deals. Strategic thinker with the ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities, utilising market insights and industry trends. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex ideas and strategies to agency partners and internal stakeholders. Full Hearst product knowledge with the ability to discuss holistic offering, a high level of competency in digital, data and programmatic is desirable. Analytical mindset, with the ability to analyse market data, client needs, and sales performance metrics to drive data-informed decision-making. Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities. Collaborative mindset, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment. Entrepreneurial attitude with a appetite to build and affect rapid growth.
