About the Role
The Strategy and Planning team (S&P) supports the New Verticals team in defining our country strategy and delivering key leadership priorities. The team plays an important role in working across all functions to provide business insights and assist with identifying areas to improve alignment and execution!
This role will have responsibility for both driving medium and long-term insight generation and critical thinking to support our regular planning processes as well as deliver practical plans on important strategic priorities for the business throughout the year. As such, the nature of the work will vary based on the priority: some will require deep involvement and ownership and others may only need support with governance.
What You'll Do
Working with cross-functional partners and global and regional S&P teams, the S&P associate will:
Build and scale processes to develop key pilots in the region!Program manage the annual and long-range financial and operational planning processes. Including ad hoc planning deep dives as necessary.Facilitate reporting of the New Verticals business performance metrics to Uber's Executive LeadershipWork closely with and drive coordination amongst a wide range of teams, from CommOps to Account Management, Ops, and moreIdentify operational weaknesses and help improve or innovate new processes.
What You'll Need
Minimum 3 years of experience in consulting, corporate strategy, operations, or other strategic roles.Critical Thinking: See and unlock new business opportunities, anticipate business trends, think deep while not losing sight of the bigger picture, and bring a data driven decision making mentality.Ambiguous problem solver: Take an ambiguous or sophisticated business problem, resolve an approach to address it, and guide your team to solve the problem.80/20 attitude: The ability to balance strong attention to detail with swift execution - we need to implement quickly, and do them well. Balancing those can be challenging, and this should be a strength.Self-starter demeanor: Being able to operate autonomously propose new insights, drive the thinking, drive the "so what" and solve ambiguous problems will make you much more effective in this role.Standout Colleague: Thrive with cross-functional teams to foster a cohesive and creative work environment.Full proficiency in Spanish and English is a must
